Q: Are dogs allowed on the course?

Due to the size of the event and for the safety of all participants, we regret that non-service dogs are not permitted in the Sporting Life 10K.

Q: Are bikes, scooters, skateboards, or inline skates allowed on the course?

Due to the size of the event and for the safety of all participants, we regret that: scooters, inline skates, bicycles, skateboards and non-service dogs are not permitted in the Sporting Life 10K.

Q: How will I receive my reimbursement?

Instructions on how to receive your reimbursement will be emailed to the address you provided when you registered, after the Sporting Life 10K in June 2025. You must respond to this email in order to receive your reimbursement or tax receipt.

Q: Can I opt out of receiving my registration fee reimbursement and donate it back to Campfire Circle?

Absolutely! Campfire Circle incurs the cost of your registration as our way of saying thank you for your commitment to raising critical funds for kids with cancer or serious illness. By opting out of receiving a refund, you will receive a gift-in-kind donation tax receipt for the value of your base registration fee and make a meaningful difference in the life of a child.

Q: Did you change charity partners?

No. Camp Ooch & Camp Trillium merged in 2020, and in January 2022 became Campfire Circle, placing kids with cancer or serious illness and their families at the heart of what we do, and bringing together our community to create a safe and joyful space for kids to be kids, and families to be families.

Q: Are there fundraising prizes?

Yes, there are perks for raising funds for Campfire Circle. You can have your registration fee reimbursed and “Run for Free” if you raise $300 by May 31, 2025 In order to qualify, the $300 total cannot include any personal donations made by you to your own personal fundraising page. The registration reimbursement does not include HST or processing fees. All reimbursements will be issued by September 30, 2025. Additional perks will be announced to all participants in the months leading up to the Sporting Life 10K.

Q: Can in-person and virtual participants participate on the same team?

Yes! Teams are able to have both in-person and virtual team members at the same time.

Q: Are there any cool things I can share on social?

We would love to see your #SL10K Virtual Run! Post on social media and tag @sportinglife and @campfirecircle on Instagram and Campfire Circle on Facebook.

Q: Can children participate?

Children of 8 years and under can participate and should complete their Sporting Life Virtual 10K with an adult.
